Still needs work, but moving along. Believe I need to darken values.

After moving to Arizona and meeting some wonderful artists, I wanted to paint my interpretation of the extraordinary Southwestern antiquities and treasures in watercolors. I was, and still am, truly amazed that collectors enjoy my art and want to display in their homes. There is no nicer compliment.

I agree, just wash some darker values over the swirls of fabric and it will read better. I love that gradated background, don't touch that! This is a happy painting with lots of motion shown.
